The Universe

The prospect universe — already built, $0, no enrichment yet.

This is a real, unenriched database of 5,987 organizations across the four target verticals, sourced entirely from public datasets. No contact data has been bought. Today it holds names plus public attributes only — state, city, and a size signal. Filter it below; the costs to enrich it (decision-maker names, emails, direct dials, board members) come after, and only for the targets a score tells us are worth it.

5,987 loaded ≠ the whole universe. The addressable universe across these four sources is ~23,981 organizations (and 100,000+ counting the full 501(c)(6) trade-association long tail). I pulled full coverage where the universe is small (every public community college), and ICP-filtered or capped working samples where it's huge (largest 500 K-12 districts; nonprofit/government acute-care hospitals; $50M–$2B credit unions). Completing any pull is the same public data at $0 — the sample proves the pipeline, it isn't the ceiling.

Community Colleges full universe

included of 905 in the public universe

Source: NCES IPEDS Directory & Fall Enrollment (2022) via Urban Institute Education Data API

All public 2-year institutions (IPEDS sector=4, public control) in the 2022 directory; enrollment is total fall headcount where IPEDS reported it.

K-12 Districts sample

Source: NCES Common Core of Data (CCD) LEA Directory 2021 via Urban Institute Education Data API

Largest 500 regular local school districts (agency_type=1) by enrollment out of 13094 with reported enrollment; capped for site size.

Community Hospitals sample
2,386
included of 5,432 in the public universe

Source: CMS Hospital General Information (Provider Data Catalog)

General acute-care hospitals with voluntary non-profit or government ownership. Bed counts are not in this CMS file, so size shows ownership type instead.

Credit Unions sample
2,196
included of 4,550 in the public universe

Source: NCUA Quarterly Call Report Data (2024-12)

Federally insured credit unions with total assets between $50M and $2B (ICP band), out of 4550 active filers in the Dec-2024 call report.

$ Anticipated enrichment costs (illustrative estimates). Everything above is free — names + public attributes scraped from federal datasets, no contact data. The next step is enrichment: decision-maker names, work emails, direct dials, and board-member names, assembled from LinkedIn Sales Navigator + Apollo / ZoomInfo + IRS Form 990 filings. That is where money gets spent — so we spend it only on scored, prioritized targets, never the whole list.
Line itemUnit costBasisEst. total
LinkedIn Sales Navigator ~$100 / seat / mo 1 seat for a ~6-month enrichment + outreach push ~$600
Apollo / ZoomInfo contact credits ~$0.20–$1.00 / enriched contact 3,000 Tier-A/B orgs × 2 contacts = 6,000 contacts ~$1,200–$6,000
IRS Form 990 board-member lookup $0 (public filings) Non-profit hospitals, colleges, credit unions — board names are in the 990 $0 + analyst time
Illustrative one-time enrichment of the Tier-A/B subset
Estimated total tooling + ~6,000 enriched contacts ~$1,800–$6,600 one-time

These are illustrative estimates, not quotes — vendor pricing varies by contract, volume, and the share of records that enrich cleanly. The point stands regardless: the list itself costs nothing, so enrichment dollars chase only the prioritized targets, not all 5,987.
